Wings Ingredients
1 cup Bourbon
1 cup Ketchup
½ cup Brown sugar
⅓ cup Apple cider vinegar
6 Garlic cloves, minced
2 Tbsp Honey
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Chili powder
1 tsp Smoked paprika
1 Tbsp Garlic chili sauce
1 tsp Salt
½ tsp Pepper
3 lbs Chicken wings, drumette and wing separated
1 Scallion, thinly sliced
Bourbon Ranch Ingredients
1 oz Bourbon
1 oz Ranch seasoning packet
½ cup Mayonnaise
½ cup Buttermilk
Wings Instructions
In a medium saucepan, add all of the ingredients except for the wings and scallions and whisk together. Place on medium heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until thickened.
Preheat the oven to 425ºF. Place the wings on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper, making sure they do not overlap. Pat dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper and bake in the oven for 12 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and flip the wings, then cook for an additional 12 minutes or until crispy and internal temperature is 165ºF.
Remove the wings from the oven and place in a large bowl, adding 1 cup of the warm sauce. Toss well. Serve wings with remaining sauce and bourbon ranch dressing. Garnish with scallions.
Bourbon Ranch Instructions
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and whisk until smooth. Refrigerate until needed and serve with the wings.
