  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 Tbsp garlic chili sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 3 lb chicken wings, drumette and wing separated
  • 1 scallion, thinly sliced
  • For the bourbon ranch:
  • 1 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz ranch seasoning packet
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup buttermilk

Directions:

Serves 4-6

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 30 minutes

For the wings: In a medium saucepan, add all of the ingredients except for the wings and scallions and whisk together. Place over medium heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until thickened.

Preheat the oven to 425°F. Place the wings on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper, making sure they do not overlap. Pat dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper and bake for 12 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and flip the wings, then cook for an additional 12 minutes or until crispy and internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Remove the wings from the oven and place in a large bowl, adding 1 cup of the warm sauce. Toss well. Serve wings with remaining sauce and bourbon ranch dressing. Garnish with scallions.

For the bourbon ranch: In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and whisk until smooth. Refrigerate until needed and serve with the wings.
