Mrs. Maisel-Inspired Cocktails

Posted:

Midge Maisel knows a thing or two about cocktails, and while many of the 50's classics that she preferred are no longer en vogue, they are all so simple and delicious, you might just find a new favorite. Set in the 1950's, Midge's favorites in the show are often both sweet and tart, things like classic daiquiris, sours and collinses, and gin was one of the most frequently used spirits on the speed bar. In this new season she embarks on a world tour, so we threw in a few ideas for drinks she might sample in her travels abroad, based on what was popular in Europe in that era. Classic barware can make all the difference for an effective presentation, so consider serving in more traditional glasses like highball and coupe to 'get the look'.
