Fill a Collins glass with ice. Add gin and elderflower liqueur. Top with club soda, stir briefly with a long cocktail spoon, and garnish with a grapefruit wheel and sprig of fresh rosemary.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Hendrick's Gin
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Rose Water
  • 1 oz Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
  • 2 dashes Bitters
  • 1 Cardamom pod
  • Some Edible Rose Petals (for garnish)

Directions:

Rose Simple Syrup Instructions:

Combine the water and sugar and place in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer for 2 minutes, or until clear and sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and cool. Add the rose water and refrigerate until needed.

Cocktail Instructions:

Warm a small pan on the stove, on medium heat. Add the cardamom pod and toast for 2 minutes, or until fragrant. Place the pod in a cocktail shaker and muddle. Crush with just enough pressure to crack the shell. Add the remaining ingredients with ice and shake until chilled.

Pour over into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with edible rose petals.

Add ice, gin, grapefruit juice, soda water and elderflower liqueur to a shaker. Stir contents vigorously (do not shake as the soda water could bubble over) until they are very well blended. Strain contents into a martini glass, serve up, and top with an edible flower or a lemon twist for a pop of color.
