Cut the mint into small pieces that are easy to muddle. Then, muddle the mint, pure sugar and lime in a shaker. Once contents are muddled, add your favorite tequila, grapefruit and a splash of simple syrup with ice. Shake contents thoroughly. Add soda water to your shaker after you shake the contents to avoid a bubbly explosion. Strain out the mint and serve drink over ice in a highball whiskey glass.
