BOONDOCKS 6YR STRAIGHT BOURBON

Aging bourbon in barrels is an art, not a science. Finishing bourbon demands even more talent because you’re imparting additional flavor and character into what is essentially a completed product. Boondocks started with an incredibly smooth and rich Straight Bourbon Whiskey, hand selected by their Master Distiller, Dave Scheurich, and then coaxed even more flavor and nuance out of it by aging it a little longer in used port barrels.

The result, a beautiful ruby and amber color. Robust, fruity, nicely balanced with warm bourbon notes enhanced by a subtle port finish highlighted by aromas and flavors of raisins, vanilla, and a touch of smoke. Oaky, but not tannic. Sweet, big, and spicy mouthfeel with a long, pleasant finish.
