Lemon Chamomile Margarita

Lemon Chamomile Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 1 teabag chamomile tea
  • 1½ tbsp lemon juice

Directions:

Yields: 1 cocktail

In a small pot, combine the water and agave over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer. Once simmering, remove from heat and carefully pour into a heat-safe sealable jar. While the mixture is still hot, cut open the teabag and add the contents to the jar. Seal the jar and allow the syrup to infuse for at least 1 hour.

Once infused, mesh strain the syrup into a shaker with ice. Add the tequila and lemon juice, then shake for 30 seconds or until chilled. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with slices of fresh lemon. Oregano and fresh chamomile flowers are an optional (and beautiful) garnish.
