When the giant boxes of watermelons at the supermarket entrance are brimming with bright green melons, here's what you do. Wrestle one into your cart, swing through the liquor aisle and mix up one of these fresh recipes.
Seedless watermelons make the perfect summer cocktails, and if you've never tried making watermelon juice don't worry--it couldn't be easier! Wash your melon and either use a big metal spoon to scoop the red part into your blender or food processor, or cut it into slices and remove the rind and blend up the chunks. You can strain it if you don't like the texture, but if you process it enough it should make a nice, smooth cocktail. Now that you have your fresh watermelon juice the options are endless. Mix it with your favorite spirit or try one of these recipes from our cocktail library.
