From the very beginning, their goal was to first craft a high-quality 100% agave tequila, and then make it spicy. And that’s exactly what they did. Ghost Tequila is produced in small batches, marrying old world techniques with modern ingenuity, using a pinch of pepper heat to create a perfectly balanced, spicy spirit.

Severo Reposado is a copper yellow, clean and bright tequila with excellent adhesion. Its aromatic notes are reminiscent of the fresh vanilla bean, sugar, piloncillo and caramel, evidencing barrel aging. In the palate it shows an integrated texture, velvety, inviting and soft expression, with a post taste of firm bouquet, leading to medium-long extension.

La Gritona Reposado Tequila is a subtle rested tequila distilled by Melly Barajas and her staff of women at her small distillery in Valle De Guadalupe, Jalisco (NOM 1533). Melly distills La Gritona with agave that has a maturation age of between 9-10 years, and all of her piñas must originate in the iron-rich red soil of the local Jalisco highlands. These agave plants are cultivated at the height of their sugar production, near the end of the life cycle. They are put into ovens within 24 hours of trimming, They char their barrels very lightly if necessary and they allow the barrels to be used for other rested tequilas prior to their resting period so that the residual oak, the residual whiskey, and the leached color from both can be as stunted as possible while their reposado ages. They do not use copper stills or a tahona, and they do not diffuse or use an autoclave. Their agave is crushed with steel shredders after cooking and they distill their liquid in steel stills. Every step of production takes place under one roof and their facility is overseen by a small staff of local women that work each process from start to finish.

Barrels of 4+ year old and 9+ year old sourced bourbons are blended to create a rich, smooth flavor. They use brandy blending and proofing techniques that take three months from barrel to bottle.
