Combined sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat gently while stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Lightly puree blackberries in a blender and pour into a cocktail shaker. Add remaining ingredients and shake. Pour the mixture into a Collins glasses, place in a freezer, and remove when mixture reaches slush consistency. Enjoy with a spoon. Yields approx 10 servings.
